A threads of fate, woven into the light of Ojiya.

What happens when you remove the unnecessary? This 100% pure silk tapestry, "Musubi (The Bond)," is the ultimate expression of our "Hogushi-ori" technique. It is a visual prayer for connection—between the land, the artisan, and your home。
  • The Architecture of Light: By carefully removing weft threads, our artisans create "breathing spaces" within the silk. This deconstructed weave doesn't just display the deep Ai-sumi (Indigo Ink); it allows ambient light to weave through the fabric, creating a shifting sculpture of shadows on your wall.
  • The Sacred Knot: The "Musubi" design is hand-drawn (Tebiki-zome) onto the silk before the final weaving. It represents the "Actual Hands" (本物の手) that have preserved this craft for centuries, now reaching out to touch your daily life.
[Authenticity Note] As this is 100% hand-woven silk, each "Musubi" tapestry carries its own unique rhythm of threads and dye. These are not flaws, but the "scars of authenticity" that certify your piece as a one-of-a-kind original.
  • Material: 100% Pure Silk.
  • Technique: Hand-woven "Hogushi-ori" (Partially removed weft threads for superior luster and transparency).
  • Artistry: Hand-drawn dyeing (Tebiki-zome) featuring the "The Indigo Bond"
  • Origin: Hand-crafted in Ojiya, Niigata, Japan by IONO.
